Lauren Elkin is the author of No. 91/92: Notes on a Parisian
Commute (Semiotext(e)/Les Fugitives) and Flâneuse: Women Walk the
City (Chatto), which was a New York Times Notable Book of 2017, a
Radio 4 Book of the Week, and a finalist for the
PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay. She is
also the UK translator of Simone de Beauvoir’s recently
discovered novel The Inseparables. As a former theatre nerd she
is delighted for the chance to chew up some Joycean scenery, even
if there actually isn’t any because this is an audio book.
