Episode #126 Interview with MR Carey author of Infinity Gate and The Girl With All the Gifts

Mike Carey is a writer I have been a fan of since long before he
was writing novels. His run on Hellblazer made me a fan
instantly. Creator of Lucifer the Sandman spin-off he made his
name in comics. Under his own name, he wrote an excellent series
of novels about an exorcist named Felix Castor. It wasn’t until
he published under a thinly veiled pen name MR Carey that he had
an international bestseller in The Girl with All The Gifts. It
also went on to be a movie starring Glen Close.


In this interview, Mike and I discuss his epic new space opera
that never leaves Earth Infinity Gate. This is one of the best
Science Fiction novels I have read in years. We talk about Mike’s
career, taking big swings with high concepts, the genesis of
Infinity Gate, and get under the hood of this incredible novel.
