Episode #128: Interview W/ Philip Fracassi Author of Boys in the Valley

Philip Fracassi is a novelist and screenwriter most known for his
hard-hitting traditional horror fiction but is branching out into
Science Fiction and historical novels. He is the author of the
award-winning story collections, Beneath a Pale Sky and Behold
the Void. His novels include Don’t Let Them Get You Down (Zagava
Press), A Child Alone with Strangers (Talos Press), Gothic
(Cemetery Dance), and Tor/Nightfire re-issued his debut novel
Boys in the Valley.





Boys in the Valley is Fracassi’s first international release, and
it has been received with wide acclaim, including being in my top
ten novels of the year. This is a highly technical conversation
under the hood of this gothic historical horror novel. Philip
Fracassi is a writer’s writer. We get into serious details of the
research, construction, and execution of this horror novel. There
are about thirty minutes of non-spoiler discussion and then we go
deep. We also chat about future books, my favorite of his short
stories, and book touring.
