Catalan interior minister, Joaquim Forn, rejects the instruction of
the Spanish interior ministry to place the Catalan police (Mossos
d'Esquadra) under Spanish state control. Forn says: "We do not
accept this interference from the State. It blows up all the organs
that the present legal framework provides to coordinate security in
Catalonia."
