EIHA Novel Food Consortium & CBD in Food, Supplements and Cosmetics

In order to meet the regulatory requirements (Novel Food
application) and to open up the outstanding prospects of the CBD
market (food and nutritional supplements) for our members and
partners, EIHA is conducting a Novel Food application for CBD
isolates and hemp extracts. The subsidiary responsible for this,
EIHA projects GmbH, is investing a total of approx. 3.5 million
EUR in the necessary toxicology studies on CBD and THC. The
complete submission of all study data is expected in
mid-2024.
