The Hon. James Bartleman is Canada's 27th Lieutenant Governor but the first aboriginal one. His memoir "Out of Muskoka" is a touching and very personal account of his life growing up in Muskoka as a child of mixed ancestry. He started writing the book after being viciously assaulted in a South African hotel room, which resulted in a prolonged period of post-traumatic stress. (Originally aired March 2003)
