Anita Rau Badami moved to Canada from India in the early 1990s and took the literary world by storm. Her first novel, "Tamarind Mem" was a bestseller and her next one, "Hero's Walk", drew even more acclaim. Her latest novel tells the story of three women over a span of fifty years, from the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947 to the explosion of Air India Flight 182. It's called "Can You Hear the Nightbird Call?".
