Phillies Weekly Week 6 Now Available

Jim Thome is out for the year. Thome spent the majority of
the season on the DL. He has decided to have season ending elbow
surgery next week.

Pitching prospect Cole Hamels is also out for the season.
Hamels had been experiencing back problems over the past few
weeks. Cole will sit out the rest of the year and look to
continue his career next season starting in AAA Wilkes
Barre/Scranton.

Rumours around Philly say Ed Wade will fill the GM spot for
the club untill 2007. We'll offer our comments regarding this
situation. We'll also have more on this rumour next week as more
information becomes available.

The Phils bats came alive in Los Angeles this week. We'll
have a review of the Milwaukee Brewers series last week at
Citizens Bank Park and a recap of the first two games of the
Dodgers series.

A preview of the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates
series next week at Citizens Bank Park.
