Hour 1: Cenk and Iadarola hosting. Today Obama announced his nomination for the Supreme Court justice, Merrick Garland, a 63 year old chief judge of D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. He is considered a moderate, but some Republicans consider him too liberal because of his stance on gun laws. Video of Mitch McConnell saying the American people have a voice to choose the direction in which the court will go. Cenk predicts that the Obama administration is going to brag about how progressives don’t like their pick.
Hour 2: A recall was issued for a popular toy truck for having a symbol of heart surrounded by another heart, which signifies that a female is ready to be trafficked for sex. Forever 21 issued an apology for a t-shirt being sold on their website that reads, “Don’t say maybe if you want to say no,” after receiving criticism for victim blaming and condoning a rape culture. A university student posted a creepy open letter to all women shaming them for rejecting him and other “good guys,” and instead choosing the “scum” that they “think they love.”
