புலம் பெயர்ந்த தமிழர்கள் குறித்த முதல் சர்வதேச மாநாடு மொரிசியசு நாட்டில் கோலாகலமாக நடந்துகொண்டுள்ளது. இமாநாடு ஆய்வுக்கட்டுரைகள் சமர்பித்தல், தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றளோடு நின்றுவிடாமல் பல அமசங்களை சாதிக்கும் என்று உறுதிபடக் கூறுகிறார்
டாக்டர் ஜான் ஜி சாமுவேல் அவர்கள். சென்னையில் ஆசிய மொழி ஆய்வுகளுக்கான மையம் ஒன்றை நிறுவி நடத்திவரும் டாக்டர் ஜான் சாமுவேல் இம்மாநாட்டின் ஒருங்கிணப்பாளர் ஆவார். Dr John Samuel, the founder of the Institute of Asian Studies in Chennai, spoke to us from Mauritius where the first International Conference on Diaspora Tamils is being held. Dr John Samuel is the coordinator of the conference.
