The insurgent group called the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has reportedly taken over two northern Iraqi cities, Tikrit and Mosul, in the past week. There are concerns they could be headed toward Baghdad. Laith Saud is a visiting professor at DePaul’s Religious Studies department, joins us to discuss what the growing unrest means for the future of the country.
Then, After falling into serious debt through castle building and a habit of supporting artists, King Ludwig II was declared insane and unfit to rule by doctors that never even examined him. What happened next remains a historical mystery. Historian John Schmidt tells us about this moment in history.
