Worldview is heading to Daley Plaza to celebrate World Fair Trade Day. World Fair Trade Day is an initiative of the World Fair Trade Organization and is supported by thousands of individuals, fair trade organizations, social and environmental movements, and producers and consumers all around the world. Local authorities, national governments and multilateral institutions have been supporting fair trade for several decades now.
Twenty fair trade businesses – all members of Chicago Fair Trade are represented in Daley Plaza today, sourcing products from 35 countries.
Today’s festival is organized by Chicago Fair Trade , a metro wide organization that promotes fair trade through educational events and building awareness of fair trade businesses. Worldview host Jerome McDonnell will talk with the vendors and organizers and join in the fun.
