The Ukrainian opposition won’t leave the buildings they have occupied in downtown Kiev. President Yanukovych returned to work Monday after taking a four day sick leave. Protesters continue to demand his resignation and early elections. We'll get an update from Mychailo Wynnyckyj, an associate professor of Sociology at National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Then, Burma’s government says it’s investigating the recent mass killing of Rohingya Muslims in the country’s Western Rakhine province, but it insists that foreigners not interfere. Graeme Wood is contributing editor at The Atlantic. He was recently in Burma to investigate what’s happening to the Rohingya Muslims. Wood wrote about his experiences in a new article for The New Republic called, "A Countryside of Concentration Camps: Burma could be the site of the world's next genocide." Plus, Dr. James Smith CBE is a former British surgeon. He co-founded the UK Holocaust Centre. Smith is also CEO of the Aegis Trust. The group works proactively to stop genocide and mass atrocities. Aegis Trust will soon establish its U.S. headquarters in Chicago. We'll find out what they hope to accomplish.
