It's the penultimate episode of Mythic Quest this season, and
that means a lot of characters are coming to terms with their
next steps. There's a lot of FaceTime involved. It's time to
discuss "Telephone"!
Jenn (@notajenny) and Chels (@chels725) are back to discuss
David's frazzled energy in this episode, the entire episode being
an actual game of "telephone," a cliffhanger decision for Poppy,
what Jo, Dana, and Rachel are going to do now, and the decision
for Brad between love and money.
Plus, they end the episode by Jenn putting on her best poker face
when she asks Chels for her finale predictions/wishlists for each
of the characters.
Enjoy the episode!

Every season, Mythic Quest delivers us an excellent standalone
episode, and this year we get to know more about Brendan in
"Rebrand"!
Jenn (@notajenny) and Chels (@chels725) are joined by their
podcasting pal David (Gimmicks; Are You My Mother?; Fear Coded)
to talk all about the theme of this episode, exploring what it
means to grow up, parasocial relationships, talk about Ian's
brief appearance, Charlie Day's heart-wrenching and Emmy-worthy
monologue, Shannon's relationship with her son, and more.
Chels makes us rank our top two standalone episodes of the show
so far and we also all discuss what is and is not a "bottle
episode."
Enjoy, all!

On this week's Mythic Quest episode, Ian and Poppy's relationship
finally fractures as David and Rachel appear before Congress.
We're talking about "The Room Where It Happens"!
Jenn (@notajenny) and Chels (@chels725) are joined by their
lovely friends Sharai (A Nightmare on Fierce Street; Blerdy
Massacre) and Emmy-nominated writer Alrinthea! They all discuss
the Congressional hearing that went awry, Carol using Brad and Jo
to solve her problem, Dana going to lunch with Ian and Poppy, and
the painful, emotional Ian/Poppy fight. (Where they lament, once
again, that Rob and Charlotte don't have Emmys for this show.)
Enjoy, all!

This week on our Mythic Quest rewatch, it's time for a poker game
that contains some pretty high stakes.

former guests, Matt from Communiess (@communiess) and Elyse
(@princessbilbo) to discuss "The Fish and the Whale"!
The group talks about Brad trying to outsmart David in poker,
what they thought of the 5-month time jump, Ian trying to be
liked by David's friends, Poppy's hilarious and heartwarming baby
shower, and more.

This week, Poppy deals with some news: she's pregnant! We're back
to talk all about "Second Skeleton."
Jenn (@notajenny) and Chels (@chels725) have so many thoughts
about this hilarious, heartfelt episode. (We adore you, Ashly
Burch!)
They talk all about Poppy's fears of being a bad mom, how Ian
tries to help, and what they think of Shannon being the person
who ultimately gives Poppy the best advice. Jenn and Chels go on
a slight tangent about awards shows and wonder why in the world
Rob and Charlotte don't yet have acting Emmys for this show.
They then talk about Dana meeting her new enemy and Brad getting
a surprising storyline.
Enjoy!
