Pop Culture Rewind

Final episode!  That's right, we're wrapping up the show along with our recap of 2020.  We talk about the biggest thing to ever hit pop culture like never before: COVID-19.  We go into how it's affected our lives, the movie industry, and everything in between (including what type of zombies Travis thinks we'll turn into).  We then talk about some of the movies that did manage to actually see this year, and how we watched them.  We talk about some of the other headlines, TV shows we watched, and some of the celebrities we lost this year.  After that, we talk about why the show is ending and what the future holds for PCR.  Thank you to all of our listeners and anyone who's helped out with the show, we had a good time!  And of course, always remember to pop...your...culture!

In this episode, Travis & Chris talk about all the huge reveals from the recent Disney Investor Day presentation.  Loads of new movies and TV shows were announced for every brand under their umbrella.  New projects from Disney Studios, FX, Lucasfilm, Disney Animated and Pixar, and of course Marvel Studios.  Shut up and take my money!

In this episode, Travis and Chris are back to finally review the smash-hit Star Wars live-action series, The Mandalorian.  Yes, spoiler alerts ahead!  They start off by giving their overall thoughts of the show from their own perspectives, followed by a breakdown of season 1 including thoughts on “the Child”, building their own lore, and how smart it was to try to distance themselves from the main Skywalker Saga.  After some praise for Jon Favreau, they go into the characters, the cast who plays them, the landscape of the show, and closing on a high note of a finale.  For season 2, they get right into all of the huge moments that made this season even better than the first.  From the live-action debuts of Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan, to the redemption story of Boba Fett, to the ultimate surprise in the finale, they touch on just about everything that they liked from the show.  They wrap up by trying to figure out where they go for season 3 and if it’s time for a shake-up to the status quo.  This one took a little longer to come out, but it’s a good one, so hit that download button and enjoy.  This is the way.
