My Friend Ben

In this episode we talk about the newest installment of Paul Greengrass' Bourne series, Jason Bourne. We also discuss some filmmaking techniques at the end of the show and where the Bourne movies fit in cinema history. It's a little bit more technical of a show, but we promise it's also really entertaining still!

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is the newest film by New Zealand director Taika Wahiti, and let me tell you, it was hilarious! We have a lot of fun reminiscing and talking about this movie, which was one of the most fun times both of us have had in the theatre in a really long time. Ben also learns the meanings of a lot of the words Taryn has been using throughout the podcast thus far. Finally the mystery is solved and Ben can sleep at night. The song in the middle of the episode is called "Trifecta" by Moniker

We discuss our first documentary today, and boy do we disagree about everything! Taryn doesn't understand Disney joy, and Ben doesn't understand the anti-vaxxer. Yes. For this episode we watched an old Christian film called The Hiding Place, which is a movie about Corrie ten Boom. It was very challenging and was surprisingly better than Ben expected it to be. Taryn knew that it was ggood. We also get a little technical in our discussion about Christian film and audiences and the progression, or maybe digression, of Christian film throughout the ages. We've talked about some of these things in previous episodes, but we finally get it all out in this episode so maybe we'll stop talking about it now. Enjoy guys and gals!
