  4. Folge 11 - Alex Kratena Part I : Tayēr + Elementary, Leadership & the Reality of Running a Bar
This episode is in English. Part 1 of 2.

Alex Kratena joins us at Tailormade in Hamburg for an open
conversation about the work, decisions and responsibility behind
running a bar.

In the first part of our conversation, we go back to his early
days at Artesian and follow the journey to opening Tayēr +
Elementary with Monica Berg.

Alex talks about the reality of becoming a bar owner, building
two concepts under one roof, dividing responsibilities, leading a
team and recognising when someone is simply not the right
cultural fit.

We also discuss German rap, Brexit and political identity, the
impact of rankings and publicity, difficult reviews, hiring for
personality, learning to let go, and the transition from
bartender to operator and businessperson.

Plus: MUYU, CONCOKT, accounting, queues, hosting and why running
a packed service can sometimes feel like playing Tetris.

The conversation continues in Part 2, available in two weeks.

Recorded at Tailormade in Hamburg.

Podcast-Folgen verschwinden.
