Today we answer a question sent in by Elisabeth...
What are practical and productive ways that Christians can
respond to the world’s compounding crises (at this current
moment, BLM/police brutality and the Yemen crisis, but at the
rate we are going it’ll be something new tomorrow) in a way that
allows us to both a) remember that God is in control and we have
hope in Him and b) actually help enact meaningful change in our
world in a gentle, gracious way? What should the balance be
between trying to fix everything and finding rest in the
unreasonable (by definition) but powerful hope that we have in a
God who has already overcome the world?
Short version: How do we love our neighbor without despairing at
all the neighbors left to be loved (and without yelling at all
the neighbors who aren’t helping)?
