When 19 year old Sydney Powell was charged with her mother Brenda’s
2020 murder, she pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Investigators believed Sydney had beaten and stabbed her mother to
death to prevent her from finding out the truth of Sydney being
suspended from her university. But Sydney’s defense claimed she had
a psychotic break. Sydney’s fate and guilt remains up in the air as
her original conviction was overturned and prosecutors are asking
