Leesa Charlotte (Sweetbitter Podcast) returns to the show to talk
about Jordana Brewster and Devon Aoki in D.E.B.S.! After Lisa gives
us a brief history of gay cinema, Joey talks about Holland Taylor
in Bosom Buddies. We admire Jordana Brewster as the villainous Lucy
Diamond (especially her lip syncing scene) in a role that finally
lets her have fun, and we equally admire Devon Aoki's ability to...
be French and smoke cigarettes. We talk about the hidden test
within the SAT, the Jordana Brewster/Jimmi Simpson dynamic, and the
Toretto-esque cop and criminal love story. We make our picks for
our favorite spy tech in the movie and ask an Australian about
Lucy's plan to destroy Australia (which pivots into talk about
Australia in movies and TV, which in turn pivots into talk about
LOST and The Leftovers). We then turn out focus to the Fast &
Furious: A Musical Parody that we all saw in the past week. We talk
about why we evaluate it differently than most people, what we
liked and what we wished was different, and why they decided to
