Grieve and Grow

In the midst of two significant challenges for humanity, Pastor
Shane shares from the Word of God how we can go Beyond Normal in
being instruments of justice, grace, and love to all persons when
we are willing to grieve and grow.

At WEAG, we long for every person to experience transformation
through Jesus Christ as we join God in the work of expanding His
family across ALL cultures and generations. This mission and
vision necessitate an honest, inward look at how cultural systems
have established racial biases across every institution including
the church. Realizing the truths behind the pain that has been
allowed to persist for so many years then opens us up to grieve
for all who have suffered. As we then work through the grief
together, God will strengthen us with his peace, grace, and
love.

As part of this emotionally and spiritually challenging sermon,
Shane asks two African-American members of WEAG's leadership to
share their personal experiences with discrimination so that we
may all gain a better perspective on the subtleness and painful
impact of bias.
