investor, and commercial astronaut. He is the founder, executive
chairman, and former president and CEO of Amazon, the world's
largest e-commerce and cloud computing company. He also owns The
Washington Post and Blue Origin, an aerospace company that he
flew into space in 2021. He has a net worth of US$125 billion as
of April 2023, making him the third-wealthiest person in the
world. He was born Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen in 1964 in
Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Jackie Gise and Ted Jorgensen, a
unicycle hockey player, and circus performer. He graduated from
Princeton University in 1986 with a degree in electrical
engineering and computer science.
