Andrew Simpson


Chairman and CEO / Board Member Heart Sciences


Since March 2022, Andrew Simpson has served as our President and
Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Simpson has also served as the
Chairman of our Board of Directors, since June 2013, and as a
director of our Company since July 2012. Mr. Simpson has over 30
years’ experience across a variety of business sectors and sizes.





He was Group CEO of The Peel Group from 2006 to 2010, which is a
large private company in the UK which, at the time, had
approximately $8 billion of business assets across the real
estate, ports, airports, energy, media, telecoms and
environmental sectors. He was a main board director of Speedy
Hire plc from 2003 to 2006 (during which time it became a FTSE
250 company) and during his tenure was Managing Director of its
Equipment Rental division which had revenues of approximately
$200 million and was also responsible for the Group’s development
and expansion which included seventeen acquisitions and several
non-core divestments.





Mr. Simpson qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price
Waterhouse and spent eight years working in investment banking at
Rothschild, advising on a wide variety of merger and acquisition
transactions, debt and equity fundraisings, IPOs and other
advisory assignments. Mr. Simpson graduated with first class
honors in 1991 from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK where
he received a Bachelor of Arts (honors) in Accounting and
Management Control.
