Katherine Festeryga wins Toronto's Women4Climate pitch competition

Friday, August 2, 2024. Today's episode is all about climate
initiatives. The City of Toronto announced this June the winners of
the fourth annual Women4ClimateTO pitch competition. Ten local
entrepreneurs pitched their climate-related initiatives to a panel
of judges for a chance to claim the first prize of twenty thousand
dollars and two secondary prizes of five thousand dollars each.
Katherine Festeryga is the winner of this year's competition, with
her project Edie Farming, which will happen right here in Toronto.
The Final Word reporter Paula Zeballos spoke to Katherine about her
win, Edie Farming and what got her started in climate activism.
