life and my first contact with music began in Berlin. Bands like
Mode Selector , or Technotronic influenced my growing dependence on
electronic music. Early on I had a growing desire to go to parties
to techno parties , and to celebrate . DJs such as Jeff Mills,
Chris Liebing , Sven Väth, and Torsten Kanzler took me under her
spell. So the madness began . I have to put Reloop RP 1000 with
belt drive turntables and a mixer the foundation. The weekend
consisted of parties and between I conducted hour mix sessions on
my record player at home . I had about 5-10 friends at this time
were all subjected to this marathon is in my apartment. Another
cornerstone of my career Torsten Kanzler and his label TK Records ,
Killaz & Error Records came into my life , from there it went
ahead and correct my options were given in Tresor Berlin Club , at
Nature One , Summer Spirit , Kazantip , Area61 , Metronome Club
Berlin , and in many more clubs to play. My fan base grew and grew

and label... the Irish three deck techno peddler, Diarmaid O Meara,

sizeable and ever growing chunk of Europe’s even more sizeable and
ever growing Techno cult. After an intensive and successful number
of years of acclaimed releases and remix’s across numerous top
labels, collaborations with numerous artists, and being named at
the beginning of 2009 as ‘One to Watch’ by M8 Mag UK... Diarmaid
was branded as “One of Techno’s brightest new stars” in 2010 by
Tilllate Magazine following features in a myriad of music
publications including Notion, Tilllate, CORE, DJ Mag and I-DJ,
Connected, and radio and music tv features about the release of his
Structured Noise album. This alongside endless production work,
collaborations, a hectic gigging schedule, and a uniquely intense,
energetic, and entertaining style of three turntable techno mash up
sets, has placed Diarmaid up there with his peers as one of the
best in his field to emerge in recent years. As one of the UK and
Irelands busier techno producers and releasers, his collaborations
and remixes to date include hero’s like A.Paul, Robert Armani, Mike
Humphries, Space DJz, Patrick DSP, Vegim, Niereich, Go!Diva, Luke
Creed etc., on labels including Gobsmacked, Potential, Mastertraxx,
Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Naked Lunch etc. His 2010 album
“Structured Noise” was nominated for Best Album 2010 and his label
Gobsmacked for Best Label multiple times in the Irish dance Music
Awards. Constantly following on these successes with a broad
spectrum of projects constantly on the horizon, numerous and
continuous upcoming releases across some of the genre’s finest
labels, not to mention his own Gobsmacked label, which is close to
celebrating its 100th release… Diarmaid’s name will keep appearing
regularly in the statutes techno as he pushes the boundaries of
noise and ingenuity in the production, performance, and promotion
