Fast & Furious 6 (Lap 7)

We welcome the return of Michelle Rodriguez -- even if she can't
remember who she or the family are -- as well as the return of Nico
Vasilo and Kevo Risse as guests for our next stop at Fast &
Furious 6! After discussing the seeming reality that the family is
headed to space in #F9 and dissecting the three deleted scenes that
accompany Fast & Furious 6, we're joined by Nico and Kevo to
dive deep into the franchise's soap opera elements (and the
evolution of these tropes through time). We also talk a lot about
David Lynch, wonder why this movie continually says having no
memory makes you a "perfect girl," and track the transformation of
Letty (and the further removal of her agency). We also talk about
how Letty's Shawty Shift helped her survive and the clumsy way that
Elena's exit from the family is handled. Joe gets a lesson in
polyamory (and math?), we tie the family into TMNT (hi, Wes!) and
New Girl, and we reminisce about Chadwick Boseman. (Movie
