Eve is a hip-hop artist who once called herself a “Pitbull in a
skirt” – a description that probably best sums up the earliest
years of her career as opposed to the more family-friendly woman we
now know today. Less than twenty years ago, Eve’s platinum buzz-cut
and paw-print chest tattoos announced a new type of female artist.
Back then, Eve was one of the first female rappers to ever keep up
with the success of her male counterparts thanks to massive hits
like “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” and “Who’s That Girl”. But ever since
2013, Eve’s musical output has been sporadic as she’s worked
diligently to reinvent herself as an actress and television talk
show host, not to mention a dedicated family woman.
