Almost ten years ago now, the world came to a standstill upon the
release of the hit Korean pop song, “Gangnam Style”. Dropping on
July 15th, 2012, by popular K-pop artist PSY – at the time of the
song’s release, he was little known outside of his home country --
but within weeks, all of that would change. Before any of us had
realized what happened, almost everyone we knew was re-enacting the
song’s outlandish dance steps. People were mimicking cowboys on
dance floors all around the world. And PSY? He’d become the first
musician to ever reach one billion views on YouTube, shattering the
site’s algorithm. And yet – outside of a few goofy follow-up
singles that continued to showcase his unique sense of humor, PSY
has put his own career on hold to return to Korea and transform
himself into the owner of his very own K-Pop label. But is there
