Today I bring you Laura Wilde, a thought leader in holistic
player development and holistic sports medicine as well as a
promoter of health freedom. She coaches mental performance and
resilience with elite performers in sports and the corporate
world. She’s worked with a number of athletes, staff, and coaches
in the NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAA.

In this episode Laura teaches us about the five main emotions in
Chinese medicine (fear, sadness, worry, anger, grief) and how
they can block us from our highest good. We discuss breathwork,
and I love her approach to breathing - instead of taking a
breath, allow yourself to receive it. The air is already freely
given to us, all we must do is receive it. And when we cannot
take a full breath, our body begins to go into “fight or flight”
mode and our stress levels rise. Unfortunately, wearing a mask
contributes to this elevated stress by restricting how much
oxygen we are inhaling while also blocking toxins from being
released from our body as we exhale. Fortunately, we can ground
our bare feet on the earth as it pulses as a great way to balance
ourselves back into a harmonious rhythm and encourage our body to
rest and relax.

Other topics we discuss include the power of intention, the
importance of handwriting our goals, toxins and stress, the
practice of smelling money, and why everyone needs a good coach.
Even incredible coaches like Laura Wilde have their own coaches.
