Today’s episode is going to be all about wheat-related disorders,
which encompasses much more than just gluten intolerance or
Celiac’s disease. It may well be that the gluten itself is the
least of our concerns, as most gluten-containing wheats are
additionally loaded with a wide array of chemicals and
neurotoxins. Gluten-free foods aren’t off the hook either, since
all conventional grains in this country come loaded with harmful
chemical pesticides like glyphosate.
For every one person there are 3,372 pounds of toxic chemicals
dumped into our environment each year. That adds up to a total of
27 trillion pounds of chemicals per year going into the foods we
eat, water we drink, air we breathe, medications we take, and
buildings we inhabit. Maybe this explains why 57% of people in
the United States have sensitivity to wheat.
Dr. McCollum puts it simply—the toxic chemicals sprayed on wheat
cause the body to become inflamed, and over time, this chronic
inflammation leads to a whole range of disease.
Wheat-related disorders extend beyond the digestive system,
impacting the rise of autoimmune conditions, causing thyroiditis,
cardiovascular disease, chronic inflammatory demyelinating
neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, cognitive impairment such as
anxiousness, depression, brain fog, schizophrenia, connective
tissue disorders, allergies, inflammatory bowel disease,
nephritis, kidney problems, small intestinal bacterial
overgrowth, excessive blood clotting (hyper coagulation), and
bone disease.
Inflammation also creates nutritional deficiency. Inflamed cells
swell and heat up, causing the cell walls to become callused.
These hardened cell walls become inefficient at properly
absorbing nutrients and releasing waste and toxins.
However, there is hope—something can be done about it. Yet you
can only find the right solution when you know what the true
