In episode 4, I lecture on chapter 4 of the 9th edition of Peter
G. Northouse's "Leadership: Theory and Practice." During the
segment, I discuss behavioral approaches to studying leadership,
the DISC behavioral profile, and highlight the Blake-Mouton
Leadership Grid.

During the Living Leadership segment I was joined by Chris Dial,
head men's basketball coach at Our Lady of the Lake University
(@OLLUSaints) and President of The Basketball Embassy
(@bballembassy). Chris has a long career as an educator,
basketball coach at all levels (including long stints with the
Romanian Basketball Federation and the Kosovo Basketball
Federation), and international diplomat.

In the interview, Chris talks about why great leaders exhibit
humility, adaptability, and that they intentionally listen with
an aim to learn. He speaks at length about why inclusive
language, a collaborative philosophy, and the ability to "read
the room" are so important if leaders want to motivate and
influence those they're wanting to lead. And I love how he
highlights the dynamic nature of leadership: "When the group
you're trying to lead is ever-changing, ever-evolving, so must
your leadership style."

There's so much leadership gold in the episode. Enjoy!
