Bellator 243 went down this past Friday night and Grant Neal of
Genesis Fight Team showed the world why he’s such a highly-touted
prospect as he won a dominant unanimous decision, even scoring a
30-24 en route to his 4th professional win and third victory
within the Bellator promotion. Neal dominated every aspect of the
fight, showcasing complete mixed martial arts skills, landing
heavy on the feet, taking his opponent down at will, and
battering him with savage ground and pound. Congratulations to
the still undefeated, Grant “The Truth” Neal.
UFC Fight Night took place on Saturday night with Youssef Zalal
of Factory X stepping up on short notice to fight for the 3rd
time in 2020 for the UFC. And step up he did, putting on an
incredible performance, knocking his opponent down in the first
round with a spinning back kick and winning a clear cut unanimous
decision, scoring a record amount of control time in the process.
A phenomenal performance from the just 23-year-old, Youssef “The
Moroccan Devil” Zalal. With the win, Zalal became the first
fighter in the UFC to have three wins in 2020.
And in upcoming action, this Tuesday night, Anthony “Suga Foot”
Adams (8-1) of Elevation Fight Team and Pound 4 Pound Fitness
will get his shot at impressing the UFC boss, Dana White when he
faces Impa Kasanganay (6-0)on the Contender series in a
middleweight matchup. Watch it live on ESPN +, Tuesday night with
bout starting at 6:00 pm MST.
And in new matchup announcements...
Austin “Thudd” Hubbard (12-4) of Elevation Fight has a new date
for his previously scheduled bout against Joe Solecki (9-2), now
taking place on August 22nd at UFC Fight Night. Watchable on ESPN
+.
Additionally, Derek Henkens (2-2) of Apex Combat Denver will
fight for Dynasty Combat in Omaha, Nebraska on September 12th.
And Colin Anglin (x-x) of factory x, who will compete for his
shot at the big show on the Dana White Contender Series, has had
his fight postponed to September 15th due to visa trouble for his
