Weekend Preview | Factory X At UFC Fight Night | Sparta Wyoming IV & New Matchup Announcements

Happy Friday Colorado MMA Fans, this weekend is an active one for
Colorado fighters in the UFC as two Factory X athletes head to
the Apex Center in Las Vegas for another UFC Fight Night.
  


Coming off of an impressive unanimous decision victory on the
Dana White Contender Series back in August, Dustin Jacoby of
Factory X will start his climb up the UFC light heavyweight
division on Saturday night when he takes on Justin Ledet in a
meeting at 205 lbs.   


Jacoby is a Glory Kickboxing veteran and will bring his well
rounded game and sharp standup to the UFC light heavy weight
division at a time when the divisions’ championship title seems
more attainable than ever.   


Joining his Factory X teammate on the card will be Alexander
Hernandez (11-3) who will compete for the first time with Factory
X in his corner when he takes on fellow UFC lightweight, Chris
Gruetzemacher (14-3) in a battle at 155 lbs. 
Hernandez is 3-2
overall in the UFC and is a powerful, athletic young fighter with
a grappling background that has been sharpening his hands and
footwork under the tutelage of Marc Montoya.  Look for a
further refined skill set from Hernandez on Saturday night and
tune into ESPN + to watch the both of these fighters throw down
live, with bouts starting at a 2:00 pm MST.  


And in new Matchup Announcements and fights to add to your
calendar:  Nate “The Savage King” Smith (6-1) of Elevation
Fight Team will face JP Buys (8-2) in his second shot at the big
show on the Dana White Contender Series, going down November

regional promotion, Sparta will host a historic event on November
7th for Sparta Wyoming IV, which will feature a Lethwei World
Title Bout between two current and former World Champions as
reigning champ Dave Leduc will put his belt on the line against
Cyrus Washington in the Main Event of the evening.  You can

Josh Hernandez of Hybrid Nation MMA vs Rich Morquecho of
Elevation Fight Team in a 145lb MMA fight 


Justin Caarrico from Muay Thai of Colorado vs John Spoelstra of
High Altitude Martial Arts in a 155lb kickboxing match  


Victor Ortiz of Hybrid Nation MMA vs Elias Egozi of Elevation
Fight Team in a 160 lb MMA fight


And unfortunately a matchup between Dylan King of Victory MMA and
Jack Girard of Genesis Fight Team was scrapped due to an ankle
injury to Dylan King.
