Sanger. Let’s Go!! -Promises for Those Who Fear the Lord- 1. Great
love: "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is
his love for those who fear him. Psalm 103:11 2. Compassion: "As a
father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion
on those who fear him." Psalm 103:13 3. Everlasting Love: "But from
everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear
him, and his righteousness with their children's children. Psalm
103:17 4. Wisdom: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom.." Proverbs 9:10a. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding to Him
who belongs eternal praise." Psalm 111:10. "And he said to man, the
fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is
understanding." Job 28:28. "The fear of the Lord teaches a man
wisdom, and humility comes before honor." Proverbs 15:33. 5.
Knowledge: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge..' "
Proverbs 1:7a 6. Generational blessing: "Praise the Lord. Blessed
is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his
commands. His children will be mighty in the land; the generation
of the upright will be blessed." Psalm 112:1-2 7. Wealth, honor,
and life: "Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor
and life." Proverbs 22:4 8. Deliverance: "The angel of the Lord
encamps around those who fear him and he delivers them." Psalm 34:7
9. No Lack: "Fear the lord, you his saints, for those who fear him
lack nothing." Psalm 34:9 10. Deliverance from death: "But the eyes
of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in
his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive
in famine." Psalm 33:18-19 11. Shelter from accusations: "How great
is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you,
which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in
you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the
intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing
tongues." Psalm 31:19 - 20 12. Provision: "He provides food for
those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever." Psalm 111:5
13. Health and nourishment: "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear
the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and
nourishment to your bones." Proverbs 3:7-8 14. Longevity of life:
"The fear of the Lord adds length to life." Proverbs 10:27 15.
Security: "He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his
children it will be a refuge." Proverbs 14:26 16. Life: "The fear
of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of
death." Proverbs 14:27 17. Mercy: "His mercy extends to those who
fear him, from generation to generation." Luke 1:50 18. Rest: "The
fear of the Lord leads to life: then one rests content, untouched
by trouble." Proverbs 19:23 19. Knowledge: "then you will
understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God."
Proverbs 2:5 20. Being the Lord's delight: "His pleasure is not in
the strength of the horse, nor is his delight in the legs of a man,
the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his
unfailing love." Psalm 147:10-11 21. Church growth: "Then the
church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enioved a time of
peace. It was strengthened and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it
grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord." Acts 9:31 22.
Perfecting holiness: "Since we have these promises, dear friends,
let us purify ourselves from evervthing that contaminates bodv and
spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence (fear) for God." 2
