This week’s episode is hosted by Higher Education Consultant and
fellow Young Fabian, Redha Rubaie, who is joined by Dr Lise
Butler, a lecturer in Modern History at City University and Joe
Seddon, founder of Zero Gravity and Access Oxbridge. We discussed
the future of universities and higher education institutions in
light of the pandemic, the difficulties that many are facing and
what the government can do to support. We also covered the
marketisation of higher education, the challenges of online
learning, the notion of 'worthless degrees', university issues
around social class and more.
