Several members of Before the Lights assembled for a podcast,
including some from my hometown, Streator, IL. Kelly Burgin from
Northern California shares news about Family Dollar closing
numerous stores, sparking a discussion with Missy Mital on its
impact on zip code 61364, which boasts several dollar stores and
transitions into a comparison of Dollar General versus Family
Dollar. Larry Henry from Arkansas weighs in on his preference.


After a brief discussion on the Cheltenham Festival, we delve
into the upcoming Mob Summit 2024 in Las Vegas, scheduled for
Saturday, June 1st. We reminisce about the Tropicana Hotel's
glory days and lament its closure, once a bustling corner on the
strip. The conversation shifts to the allure of Geri Rosenthal
and the mob-connected casinos.


From pizza and beer, we segue into wine, with Kelly sharing his
involvement in a project for the Italian Delicato Family wine
company, featuring Francis Ford Coppola wines. Tommy impresses by
recognizing the brand.


We introduce Jim Riordan, a.k.a. Fat Grampa Podcast, as he
explains its inception. Jeff Horaney expresses his excitement for

on making tortellini and cookie decorating. Cheryl Canale (Mom)
shares her plans to head to Arizona for spring training. Kelly's

for the Mob Summit. The Canale family's move from Illinois to
Vegas prompts discussions on the old Vegas era and Bet Bash!
