Ken Wiebe and Sean Reynolds of Sportsnet sort through the
Winnipeg Jets 8-4 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday
night after the game featured three different four-goal outbursts
in succession. The Jets built a 4-0 lead, only to see the
Canadiens score the next four goals. But Andrew Copp supplied the
go-ahead goal and eventual game-winner late in the second period
to spark four unanswered goals for the Jets, who won consecutive
games for just the third time in 2022 and improved to 24-21-9
overall, leaving them six points behind the Edmonton Oilers for
the second wild card berth in the Western Conference. The Jets
are back in action on Friday against the Dallas Stars.
