Ken Wiebe and Sean Reynolds of Sportsnet sort through the
particulars of the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins in
the battle of two teams that led their respective conferences in
points percentage going into the contest. The Jets had an
excellent first period and built a 2-0 lead, only to surrender
three consecutive goals - the first of which came after a simple
dump-in caromed off the stanchion and landed right on the stick
of sniper David Pastrnak. A power play goal followed less than
three minutes later, setting the stage for a Nick Foligno marker
in the third that was the game-winner. Connor Hellebuyck was
brilliant after missing his last start due to an illness. The
Jets slipped to 21-11-1 and will face the Washington Capitals on
Friday in the final game before the Christmas break.
