Ken Wiebe and Sean Reynolds of Sportsnet look under the hood for
clues after the Winnipeg Jets were bounced 6-3 by the Edmonton
Oilers on Friday night, hours after what was a mostly quiet NHL
trade deadline day for the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets lost a fifth
consecutive game, have dropped seven of the past eight (1-6-1)
and are now 15-16-1 during the past 32 outings as they fell to
35-25-2 overall. With 20 games left to go, the Jets hold a
five-point cushion over the Calgary Flames and a six-point lead
over the Nashville Predators, who hold three games in hand but
found themelves squarely in the seller category this week.
