In this episode of the ASIAL Security Insider Podcast, we are
talking about the importance of Breaking Down Silos in the
Convergence of Physical and Cyber Security

Traditionally, in many organisations, physical and cyber security
professionals have been partitioned into two groups possessing
different skill sets and reporting structures. Typically, the
physical security professional may wear many hats and is
responsible for operations, facilities and business continuity,
while the cyber security is responsible for the IT functions and
reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). furthermore, some
organisations include an operational technology (OT) security
professional. As organisations see more and more cyber threats
from ransomware attacks, supply chain disruption and a growing
attack surface on physical security devices, organisations are
actively looking at converging the two groups under a Chief
Security Officer (CSO). In today's podcast, we speak with two
industry executives from the physical and cyber security
professions, who will discuss some of the challenges, best
practices and how technology plays a key role in the convergence
in physical and cyber domains.
