the Association of Health Care Journalists and Minnesota Coalition
for Death Education and Support. In addition, she is a Contributing
Writer for the Caregiver Space website, the Assistant Editor of the
Open to Hope Foundation website, and contributor to The Grief
Toolbox website. She is also a member of The Compassionate Friends,
an international organization for those who have suffered the loss
of a child.
She has appeared on more than 185 talk shows, including CBS Radio,
and CNN. A popular speaker, she has given presentations at
caregiving, public health, Alzheimer’s, and bereavement
conferences. Her work is cited in Who’s Who of American Women,
World Who’s Who of Women, Contemporary Authors, and other
