Employees at Volkswagen’s Chattanooga assembly plant have voted
to join the United Auto Workers. 910AM Car Radio host and Detroit
News auto columnist Henry Payne talks about the consequences. The
UAW could negotiate a contract that will make VW workers over
$100,000. But those wages also threaten VW’s labor cost advantage
over domestic rivals and could lead to job losses. The vote was
also a win for the Democratic Party as the UAW, a staunch Party
special interest, will donate millions in worker wages to its
