Maty Ryan: Boyhood Arsenal dream come true

Like all young Aussies and kids around the world, Maty Ryan grew
up dreaming of joining and representing his favourite football
team. Now, that dream has become a reality for Maty after he
signed with Premier League club Arsenal in January.


Maty explains how the move came about, the role Socceroos legend
Tim Cahill played in making it happen, and Ryan’s first
impressions of behind the scenes at Arsenal.


He also powerfully reflects on exactly what it means to pull
on the shirt of the team he supported as a child and he
reveals what he’s hoping to achieve during his loan stint for the
remainder of the season.


Ryan also discusses some of his greatest memories in Green and
Gold, including the 2015 Asian Cup, and gives his take on the
impressive form of a handful of Australian goalkeepers throughout
Europe and Asia.
