The Sanctity of Life: Understanding the Biblical Perspective on Abortion

 Scripture teaches us to treat women and girls with mercy
and dignity. In the Bible, the commandment "do not kill" didn't
apply to the unborn under the Law.   Life is sacred but
so is our liberty. The Constitution protects life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness. Forcing women and children to bear
children in all cases may not be the answer. Women will die if
their right to decide whether or not to have a child is taken
from them. There is and always has been a balance between
protecting life and liberty. One cannot have justice, without
mercy, without consideration of the circumstances and position of
the accused. We must protect the vulnerable among us, including
women and girls.
