Ep. 84: Promising Young Woman: Candy Coated Poison

A feminist revenge film about a woman that exposes
predatory men and their “unknowing” predatory ways. A very
unnerving, uncomfortable, but beautifully shot and even at times
funny film. Pretty Young Woman’s genre transitions and tonal
shifts are used at its advantage in keeping us interested as to
what REALLY was going to happen next. We also talk about the lack
of empathy that is shown in the film that reflects society &
the “obvious bad” that isn’t so obvious to a lot of people in the
real world.
