Ep. 110: Candyman: Confusing Shortcomings, Creative Choices, & The Lack of Black Horror Villians

The follow up to the 1992 Candyman film, comes a resurgence of
the Candyman series with this brand new self titled film,
Candyman. With a fantastic sense of atmosphere and
cinematography, Candyman still has its flaws with its pacing,
writing, and it’s lack of reinforcement with certain social
issues. Regardless, we still give praise to Nia DaCosta for being
the first black female director getting a #1 movie in the box
office and bringing back the horror icon that is Tony Todd.
