Ep. 145: Lightyear; YOU are a TOY!

This week, Josh and Carmela are getting into the latest
Disney/Pixar blockbuster, Lightyear. With a film premise that
confused a nation, we had no idea what to expect. Not quite a
reboot, not quite a sequel, these franchises are doing their best
to appeal to their original generation while also enticing a
brand new generation of viewership, so it’s up to us to figure
out if it’s all worth watching. As always, we get into what we
liked, what we didn’t, and the role of nostalgia in so many of
today’s movies. Did you think Lightyear was a welcome addition to
the Pixar universe, or was it simply a cash grab to expand their
merch line?
