Episode 157: Wakanda Forever; Mo’ Vibranium, Mo’ Problems

It’s been a while since a Marvel release of this magnitude. Two
years ago, director Ryan Coogler had the unenviable job of
rewriting Wakanda Forever after the sudden and tragic loss of
Chadwick Boseman, and we weren’t sure if we would ever get to see
this film come to life. Our favorite Marvel kingdom can’t mourn
for too long, though, so we got into what we liked, what we
didn’t, the incredible performances, and the critiques of the
“Recast T’Challa” crowd. Although Wakanda Forever seemed to be a
fitting tribute to the franchise’s late star, the film’s problems
were hard to overlook. Regardless, did you think it was a solid
introduction to the MCU’s newest players, or did the unfocused
story fall below expectations?
