EP.51 The Design Brief - Harley Kruse

Back to back segments of The Design Brief sees me this time catch
up with The Golfing Greenkeeper Podcast resident Golf Course
Architect Harley Kruse from Kruse Golf.


I wanted to get an update of the work Harley has been up to and
also some new projects he's soon to be working on. The main point
of this conversation however was to discuss working with golf
courses on relatively small parcels of land. We discuss some of
the challenges architects and clubs face when going through a
redesign process on a small site and what things have to be
considered. I also wanted to get Harley's thoughts on the
question of are golf courses becoming too fast? I believe things
are starting to get a bit out of control generally across the
spectrum and does this have an effect on the thoughts of an
architect.
