kicks things off by doing his best classical radio station DJ

first band (7:57) The last time Marty saw GWAR live (14:03)
Kris’s weird side project band, The Martian Armpit Orchestra, and
their big last.fm hit “Mars is Made of Chocolate Fudge” (18:25),
Marty reading the Bob Pollard/Guided by Voices biography “Closer
your are” (20:35) and Kris getting a new Gretsch guitar for his
40th birthday (24:30). After some laughs and waaay too much Spin
Doctors, Kris and I delve into the meat of episode 4-1985! We
start with breaking down our feelings on the 80’s as a decade
(35:35), what the charts looked like (46:36), and the
introduction of yet another episode themed beverage (1:05:02).
Next up on the menu for this delightfully 80’s year, we have two
classic albums to break down! We start off with Marty’s pick, the
treble-induced, proto-shoegaze masterpiece by Scotland’s Jesus
and Mary Chain, Psychocandy. Next up is Kris’s pick for 1985- Tom
Waits’ timeless romp through dark alleys, dingy basements, and
